Inner-city expansion in Rostock | 2009
The City of Rostock prepared the development plan for the so-called Holzhalbinsel on the basis of the concept of Nattler Architekten. It is situated in direct proximity to the city harbor and the old town. The concept provides for six lodgings which are arranged in a star pattern in the 84,000 m² area. A pedestrian bridge is the connection to the Holzhalbinsel which is also called "Tor zur Hansestadt" („Gateway to the Hanseatic city“). A new first-class lodging is developed in the heart of the city.
