RWI4 high-rise building
Redesigning of the RWI-Tower in Düsseldorf | 2011
The new orientation of the four shimmering silver office towers built in 1974 was due for a modernisation in terms of design and content. Internal and external conversion work as well as the new name "rwi4" represents the concept, which contributed to full occupancy of the formerly empty building.
Measures: Central entrance hall as the heart of the building, including communication and information area as well as lounge and cafeteria with outside patio and a smaller shop areas • Modernisation of the entrance area on each floor • New concepts of office spaces, e.g. open space or mixed areas at all floors • Nocturnal lighting concept for the external presentation • Fire protection• GFS: 46,000 m²
