Interior design of the new Relaxa Hotel

A new hotel operated by the “Relaxa” group was opened in 2004 in the heart of Ratingen.

With the whole building project an important urban planning and architectural contribution was made, giving the former Calor-Emag site a new attractive use.

Beside the architectural organization of the hotel spe-cial attention was paid to the interior design of the individual hotel areas. For example, the hotel bar was arranged as a dark wooden cube in the central en-trance hall. Lighting supports the spatial effect and enhances the warm colours.

The wellness area with sauna, rest area and fitness area was decorated in fresh colours which, together with wooden materials, create a pleasant atmosphere inside and out. This contributes to the well-being of the guests.
